Arusha is surrounded by some of the world’s most beautiful mountains and wildlife parks, such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Arusha National Park, Mount Meru, and Kilimanjaro. We offer advice on safaris you will remember, and can assist you in arranging the ones you prefer. Be aware that this area has to wet seasons and two dry seasons.. The long rainy season is from March to May, and most of the annual rainfall occurs in these months. The short rainy season is in November and December. The long dry season is from June through October, and August is typically the driest month of the year.

Serengeti National Park

This huge park is located 382 km from Arusha and covers 14.763 km². Serengeti is the only place in Africa where vast land-animal migration still takes place. Among the countless number of animals you find the ‘big five’ – elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Seeing them roaming freely in their own habitat is something you will never forget.

Ngorongoro Crater

The crater is located 160 km from Arusha and covers 264 km² of wetlands, forests, and grasslands. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as one of the Seven Natural Wonders in Africa. Here you find a high concentration of animals like wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, black rhinos, warthogs, hippos, lions, leopards, baboons, buffalos, and elephants.

Arusha National Park

This park is located only 19 km from Moshono Hillside and covers 552 km² with a varied and beautiful landscape. Due to its beauty and nearby location, it’s often chosen as a one-day safari destination. The most common animals are Buffalos, Giraffes, Zebras, Monkeys, Hippos, Waterbucks, Bushbucks and more than 400 bird species including flamingos.

Tarangire National Park

This park is located 112 km southwest of Arusha and covers 2600 km². It’s known for its 550 registered species of birds and for having more elephants per square kilometer than any other national park in Tanzania. Among the other animals in this park, you find hartebeests, wildebeests, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, lions, leopards, and wild dogs.

Mount Kilimanjaro

This mountain is 5.895 meter high and located 78 km from Arusha. Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa, making it one of the world’s seven summits. Walking a guided tour to the summit of this volcanic stand is a highly popular adventure with both experienced hikers and first-time mountaineers.

Mount Meru

This local mountain is 4.565 meter high and the fifth-highest peak in Africa. It’s part of Arusha National Park and situated 68 km west southwest of Mount Kilimanjaro. The densely populated southern and eastern slopes are well watered, and the fertile volcanic soil supports many local coffee plantations.

Lake Manyara National Park

This park lies 115 km from Arusha and covers 648 km². Two-third consist of water, and it is known for the lush green vegetation with tall trees, tree-climbing lions and the soda lake. It also inhabits thousands of pink flamingos, large waterfowl, baboons, blue monkeys, elephants, klipspringers, warthogs, impalas, buffalos, hippos, gazelles and leopards.
